Great act.. but global warming isn't really that much of a problem, given the facts that carbon dioxide doesn't increase as drastically as people assume exponentially with the global temperatures. It's a natural occurrence, and human intervention doesn't quicken the pace of temperatures rising at a high enough rate to show any difference between it happening naturally and by our own doing.
Try saying that to my science teacher. Actually I have tried. I said that the world would sort itself out just like it did after the ice age, but we wouldnt survive, so really we're just saying 'save ourselves' not 'save the planet'. Anyway...
Thats not the point. The world would still be here.. but we might not survive it. Somethings will, like fish. But if it is true and really bad then we most likely wouldnt. Havent you seen "natural" disasters kill thousands of people? It will be like that but on a much larger scale.
Whats the big deal in saving ourselves? Sounds worth while to me. Lets not worry about the pandas, lets worry about the panda issue because it shows that we are an aggressive, unsustainable species... and need to change.
I actually saw them live in Las Vegas!
We are trying to save ourselves.
